This CIRR's Dossier is dedicated to the NATO's New Strategic Concept aiming to stress its importance for the stability of the transatlantic area, as well as of the region of Southeast Europe including the new member states from that part of Europe. With the intention to take active part in the debate about the Concept, and also to provides the opportunity to other to express their opinion, the IMO organized the international conference "NATO's New Strategic Concept - A Perspective from the New Member States", with the support of NATO Public Diplomacy Division and Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Croatia (Zagreb, 28 May 2010). The Dossier brings selected contributions from the conference speakers, as well as the full text of the NATO's New Strategic Concept - "Active Engagement, Modern Defence." The list of contributions are as follows: "Croatia's Role in the Regional and Broader Stability Context" by Zlatko Gareljić, "Strategic Consequences: The Western Balkans, NATO Membership, and Prospects for the Future" by Bard B. Knudsen, "Albanian Costs and Benefits of NATO Membership" by Dorian Jano and "Intervention at the International Conference 'NATO's New Strategic Concept: A Perspective from the New Member States'" by Petraq Pojani. Dossier also include the full text of the NATO's New Strategic Concept - "Active Engagement, Modern Defence" - "Strategic Concept for the Defence and Security of The Members of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisations - Active Engagement, Modern Defence" adopted by Heads of State and Government in Lisbon.
