Personal names on Pašman

Sažetak

The article on personal names on the island of Pašman gives a short overview
of demographic trends through history which had an impact on the composition
and number of inhabitants of the islands near Zadar including Pašman, which also
had an indirect impact on the choice of personal names. The central part of the article analyses the synchronic corpus of personal names collected by means of a
survey on the island and from the birth register. For purposes of comparison with
this corpus, a collective survey of sources for the selection of personal names in
earlier centuries is provided (13th-14th centuries, 19th century).
