Sažetak
The process of abolition of servitude dependence or transfer in the new capitalistic production relations appears in the second half of XIX ct. in Croatia and Slavonia. The land owners were given the monetary consideration for the lost obligations. That was the reason to introduce the so called land exoneration surtax. This obligation was a big burden for the farmers and because of it their economic position was becoming worse. This can be seen in the fact that the number and rate of farm burdening, debt enforcement, division or dispossessing of parts and whole farms, are growing with that.
Ali this resulted in the constant growing number of the small farms that do not make the existence possible. As it was very difficult to leave the land it means that the life conditions were becoming worse every day. The other processes led to the same conclusion, but the process of land exoneration had in this a very important role.
