A PAINTING BY BALDASSARE D'ANNA IN ROČ

Sažetak

In the parish church of St. Bartholomew in Roč there is a painting representing the Virgin of the Rosary and Saints. It is very well preserved and according to the compositional analogies, similarities in colour and the treatment of the painted surface it can be attributed to Baldassare d'Anna. Almost every figure in this picture is repeated in some other painting by the same author but the most obvius similarities could be found between this painting and the two paintings representing the Virgin and the Saints (Izola and Hum) and a painting with the same iconografic subject as the pala from Roč, situated in Gornji Humac on the island of Brač.
