Sažetak

Paintings by prominent Venetian Rococo painter Gianbattista Pittoni (1687-1767) have not previously been known to edist in Dalmatia, where works of 18th century Venetian painters are otherwise plentiful. Analysis of his style leads to the assumption that the great central altar painting in the
Church of the Holy Ghost in Vis, on the island of Vis, is his original work.
