Sažetak
The article deals with family research carried out by the analysis
of conceptions interwoven into the key theoretical approaches.
The analysis of seven major theories concerning family leads us
to the conclusion that neither one of them gives a complete and
terminal answer to all questions. For comprehensive understanding
of the family as a social phenomenon it is necessary to
integrate all these theories into a broad but by new viewpoints
opened approach, as is the interactional-communicative one,
immanent to the science of social work.
