                <p>Klipni lift je mehanička metoda umjetnog podizanja kapljevine. Klipni lift se razvio kao široko primjenjiva metoda koja predstavlja ekonomičnu alternativu plinskom liftu. Tema ovog rada je opis načina rada klipnog lifta te moguća primjena u naftnim i plinskim bušotinama na temelju proračuna na konkretnoj proizvodnoj bušotini.

                <p>Plunger lift is a mechanical method of the artificial lift. Plunger lift was developed as a widely used method of production, representing an economical alternative in comparison with gas lift. Theme of this final paper is description of plunger lift’s production mechanism, as well as possible uses in oil and gas wells based on the calculations in which data is drawn from known production parameters of the well.

            <label>Uvod</label>
            <p>Mehaničke metode podizanja kapljevine primjenjuju se kada ležišna energija nije dovoljna za iznošenje kapljevine na ušću i za svladavanje otpora pri protjecanju. Svrha ovih metoda je podignuti kapljevinu iz bušotine kako bi se ostvarila depresija na ležište (razlika između ležišnog i dinamičkog tlaka na dnu bušotine). 
            Jedna od primjenjivanih metoda iznošenja kapljevine je klipni lift koji nalazi primjenu u naftnim i u plinskim bušotinama. Klipni lift se razvio kao široko primjenjiva metoda koja predstavlja ekonomičnu alternativu plinskom liftu. Klip koji se koristi u ovoj metodi omogućava ekonomičnost proizvodnje; u bušotinama gdje se on ne primjenjuje, potrebna je velika brzina plina za iznošenje kapljevine, dok upotrebom klipa brzina plina može biti i vrlo niska zbog toga što klip predstavlja barijeru između tekuće i plinske faze koja se iznosi na površinu te se u tu svrhu za iznošenje kapljevine može primjenjivati energija samog ležišta (Lake, 2007). 
            Klipni lift se u počecima svoje primjene koristio pretežno na naftnim bušotinama kao metoda iznošenja kapljevine ili u kombinaciji s plinskim liftom, dok se tijekom i nakon 1980-ih godina sve više razmatra primjena klipnog lifta u plinskim bušotinama. Nekoliko studija tijekom tog vremena (Morrow i Rogers, 1992, Lea et al., 2009) koji su se bazirali na starijim poznatim radovima (Foss i Gaul, 1965) zaslužno je za razvoj metode klipnog lifta. Primjerice, razmatrana je veza između zračnosti između klipa i proizvodnog niza cijevi (tubinga) i brzine podizanja klipa. Dokazano je da manja zračnost klipa reducira propuštanje plina te u konačnici dovodi do povećanja proizvodnje te da je optimalna brzina kretanja različitih klipova između 150 i 300 m/min (Lake, 2007). 
            Klipni lift nailazi na široku primjenu u Sjedinjenim Američkim Državama. U posljednje vrijeme, klipni lift nailazi na širu primjenu i u svijetu kao rezultat bolje mehaničke pouzdanosti, fleksibilnosti opreme, poboljšane tehnologije korištenja upravljačke jedinice i boljeg razumijevanja operativnog postupka. 
            Tema ovog rada je opis načina rada klipnog lifta te moguća primjena u naftnim i plinskim bušotinama na temelju proračuna na konkretnoj proizvodnoj bušotini. </p>
