Kvartal : Chronicle of Croatian Art History

logo Kvartal : Chronicle of Croatian Art History

Kvartal is a specialized scholarly magazine covering current art historical issues in Croatia. It includes critical reviews and presentations of selected publications and exhibitions, interviews with art historians and contemporary artists, essays related to certain current issues and art historical problems, contributions covering primary scientific and research activities, as well as presentations of preservation and restoration projects and art historical meetings and conferences. The leading idea of the editorial concept is the affirmation of an established critical interpretation of vital problems and open questions of art history as a discipline. The editorial board usually contacts the authors directly for covering selected topics, but is also willing to consider propositions from all potential contributors. In case the proposed article does not correspond to the professional and scientific standards of the magazine, the editorial board may, with reasons adduced, refuse its publication. The magazine is published quarterly on the following dates: 15th March, 15th June, 15th September and 15th December. The deadlines for submitting contributions are agreed individually with the editorial board.
