Adsorption isotherms of benzaldehyde from aqueous solutions onto granular activated carbon have been determined and studied the effect of dosage of granular activated carbon, contact time, and temperature on adsorption. Optimum conditions for benzaldehyde removal were found adsorbent dose   4 g l–1 of solution and equilibrium time t  4 h. In this study, the adsorption/desorption behaviours of water vapor on wool, as well as of the redolents, such as acetic acid and benzaldehyde, have been investigated. Razvijena je točna, osjetljiva i selektivna reverzno-fazno micelarna kromatografska metoda za simultano određivanje benzilnog alkohola i benzaldehida. Ta metoda je primijenjena u injekcijskim pripravcima diklofenaka, piroksikama, linkomicina i klindamicina. U koncentracijskom području 10100 i 120 μg mL1 postignuta je izvrsna linearnost s granicom detekcije (S/N = 3) 0,25 μg mL1 (2,3 × 106 mol L1) i 0,12 µg mL1 (1,13 × 106 mol L1) za benzilni alkohol, odnosno benzaldehid. Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) of Petrosia ficiformis were investigated for the first time. The VOCs from fresh and air-dried sponge were obtained by hydrodistillation and headspace-solid phase microextraction and they were analysed by coupled gas chromatography-mass spectrometry.
