eng Distribution of Human Papillomavirus Types in Different Histological Subtypes of Cervical Adenocarcinoma
Hadžisejdić, Ita; Krašević, Maja; Haller, Herman; Grahovac, Blaženka
Collegium antropologicum Vol. 31 - Supplement 2, No. 2, 2007
Little information is available regarding distribution of HPV types in different histological subtypes of adenocarcinoma (AC). Thus, in this study we examined the frequency of high-risk (hr) HPV types in AC, adenocarcinoma in situ (AIS) and adenosquamous carcinoma (ADSQ). A total of 102 cases of primary cervical adenocarcinoma (26 AIS and 76 invasive AC) obtained from pathology files from 1995–2006 were histologically subtyped. Our results demonstrated that endocervical type occupied the major subtype of AC (22/66) followed by ADSQ (17/66)...

eng Low Grade Peritoneal Mucinous Carcinomatosis Associated with Human Papilloma Virus Infection: Case Report
Gatalica, Zoran; Foster, Jason M.; Loggie, Brian W.
Croatian Medical Journal Vol. 49, No. 5, 2008
Pseudomyxoma peritonei is a clinical syndrome characterized by peritoneal dissemination of a mucinous tumor with mucinous ascites. The vast majority of the pseudomyxoma peritonei are are associated with mucinous neoplasms of the appendix. We describe a case of pseudomyxoma peritonei associated with mucinous adenocarcinoma of the cervix in a 60- year-old woman. The patient developed low grade mucinous peritoneal carcinomatosis 8 years after hysterectomy for cervical adenocarcinoma. No other primary mucinous tumor was identified and perito...

eng Anal canal adenocarcinoma locally treated with abdominoperineal resection after chemoradiotherapy: case report and review of literature
Amado, Andreia; Queirós, Tatiana; Costa, Sílvia Dantas; Tavares, Amélia; Gandra, Lurdes
Acta Chirurgica Croatica Vol. 18, No. 1, 2021
Background: Primary adenocarcinoma of the anal canal is rare, representing less than 20% of anal canal cancers. Given the limited data regarding treatment and outcomes, the management of this type of cancer is focused on a combined modality therapy involving radical surgery and neoadjuvant/adjuvant chemoradiotherapy. Case study: A 74-year-old woman presented with pruritus and anal pain with 6 months duration. MRI showed a semi-concentric mass in anal canal posterior wall. After an incisional biopsy that revealed an adenocarcinoma, the patien...

eng Villoglandular Papillary Adenocarcinoma of the Uterine Cervix with Aggressive Clinical Course – A Case Report
Rubeša-Mihaljević, Roberta; Vrdoljak-Mozetič, Danijela; Verša Ostojić, Damjana; Štemberger-Papić, Snježana; Sindik, Nebojša; Krašević, Maja
Collegium antropologicum Vol. 34, No. 1, 2010
Villoglandular papillary adenocarcinoma (VGA) of cervix is an uncommon but well recognized histologic subtype of cervical adenocarcinoma which usually affects young women. Based on the favorable outcomes reported in most previous cases the tumor is generally considered to have an indolent clinical course with excellent prognosis. We present a case of a 22-year-old woman admitted at our Department for glandular abnormality on cervical smear and episodes of vaginal discharge. In the Pap smear, the cytological features were suspicious but not diag...

hrv Karcinom prostate s komponentom nalik na Panethove stanice - prikaz slučaja
eng Paneth Cell-Like Component in Prostate Cancer - Case Report
Jurić, Bernardica; Šoipi, Šoip; Ulamec, Monika; Krušlin, Božo
Acta clinica Croatica Vol. 57., No. Supplement 1, 2018

hrv Nejasno sinkroni adenokarcinom pluća i baze jezika: prikaz slučaja i rasprava o mogućim obrascima razvoja bolesti
eng Indistinctly Synchronous Lung and Base of the Tongue Adenocarcinoma: Case Report and Discussion of Possi- ble Patterns of Disease Development
Mamić, Matija; Manojlović, Luka; Jerković, Daniel; Uglešić, Vedran
Adenokarcinom pluća čini oko 40% svih karcinoma pluća i karakteriziraju ga različite stanične i molekularne značajke.

Collegium antropologicum Vol. 34, No. 2, 2010
Cytological criteria for the identification of glandular intraepithelial lesions (GIL) have not yet been fully described, especially for the precursors of adenocarcinoma in situ (AIS), thus these lesions may frequently remain unrecognized. As most patients diagnosed with AIS or mild to moderate GIL (grades I, II) are free from clinical symptoms, cytology has a very responsible role in the detection of these lesions. The aim of the study was to achieve the most appropriate cytologic diagnosis of intraepithelial lesions of endocervical columnar e...
