Sažetak

In the edition "Plant Associations of the Republic of Croatia" (Trinajstić 2008), among other syntaxa, known in Croatia yet so far insufficiently studied, the association Cymbalarietum muralis is also indicated, but no analytical dana on the syntaxonomic structure of its floristic composition were published. To fill this gap on this occasion, as said above, the floristic structure analysis of the ass. Cymbalarietum muralis, Alliace Parietario-Asplenion Segal 1969, Order Parietarietalia judaicae Rivas-Marninez in Rivas-Goday 1964 and Class Parietarietea judaicae Rivas-Marninez in Rivas-Goday 1964 will be discussed. The floristic composition of the Cymbalarietum muralis from Croatia is shown in the attached Table 1 prepared on the basis of 12 relevés. The total number of registered species is 39, but the number registered in individual relivés is small, between 6 and 15 or on the average 8.5 species. No matter what geopolitical area is involved, and the same applies also to Croatia, in the association itself a small number of species dominates. In the first place according to their stability are Cymbalaria muralis and Parietaria judaica. An important place is occupied also by the ferns Asplenium trichomanes s.l., Asplenium ruta-muraria and Ceterach officinarum. Represented locally with a low degree of stability is Cheilanthes acrostica. The higher rank syntaxa (alliance, order, class) as understood here are represented well although they achieve a relatively low degree of stability, often being represented in one relevé only. As said above, there are in total 24 companion species, and 16 species have been registered in one relevé only. In relation to the total floristic composition this is 41%. In Croatia, the Cymbalarietum muralis ass. grows throughout the Hrvatsko
primorje from Istria in the north-west to Pelješac in the south-east. Still the stands from the northern part of the Adriatic littoral show more typical characteristics, closer to those from other parts of Europe.
