Sažetak

Narodne novine (official state gazette), No. 31/2010 published the Act on the Amendments to the Private Security Act which came into effect on 18 March 2010. The Act is now harmonised with the European Union legal system. The amendments were made to harmonise the Private Security Act (N.N. No. 68/03) with the academic and expert nomenclature, academic level (N.N. No. 107/07) and the Minor Offence Act (N.N. No.107/07). The amendments regulate the work conditions for guards, equipment security, work order issuance, and the work duties of the person responsible in the company for private security matters. The paper presents in detail these amendments.
