Sažetak

Skin diseases (dermatomycoses) caused by pathogenic yeast fungi and
mold occur very often both with school children and athletes. They are accompanied
by skin inflamations of different origins (dermatitis), purulent skin inflamations
(piodermias) caused by purulence agents (streptococci) and staphylococci), bacteria
infections of skin and subcutaneous tissue (piodermias). Athletes more often suffer
from skin damages caused by microtraumas. The causes of skin diseases may differ,
but are mostly affected by the lack of personal hygiene, dirty clothes and footwear,
sport equipment and devices, and the unhygienic environment and microclimate.
Children sweat more than adults, their immune system is more sensitive, therefore the
level of personal hygiene can be a risk factor to the possible skin disease.
School is obligatory to create some basic functional and technical and hygienic
conditions in order to prevent skin diseases and to suppress alergic reactions that are a
consequence of different forms of physical strain. The correlation between Physical
Education and scientific disciplines (biology and zoology) may contribute a lot to
prevention of skin diseases and alergies caused by physical strain, as well as to help
us develop our consciousness about how to preserve and improve our health.
