Sažetak

Abstract
Waste generation accompanies almost every human activity, especially industry. The issue of waste, especially that hazardous, is one among the key problems of modern age, present also in the highly developed countries, because adequate capacities and technology for its management present extensive costs. By establishing the environmental management system according to the requirements of the ISO 14001 standard at Maziva Zagreb, new commitments have been taken over for increased control and constant improvement of the environmental impact during production, product use and service rendering. Implementation of the environmental management system in the industrial practice is a sign of understanding of sustainable development, which, integrated into the business system, enables the realization of both environmental and economic goals. One among the defined significant environmental aspects are the waste oils, whose taking over from the users of Ina’s lubricants has been set as goal, while the organization of their management has been incorporated into the environmental management program at Maziva-Zagreb d.o.o.
