Sažetak

Presented are data on the production and catch of fish according to the species, surface area of the pond, fish catching gear, and the distribution of production and catch in 1989. The surface area being used was increased by only 115 ha or 0.92%, and the total yield of fish is higher by 746 tons or 4.80%. The highest yield of fish was reached at D. Miholjac (1,841 kg/ha). The freeding coefficient is 3.20 and is 0.32% higher than the previous year. On 3 fish farms the feeding coefficient is less than 2.5 kg, and in 7 large fish farms this coefficient is higher than 3.2 kg. The dominant fish food is still corn and then wheat.
The consumption of fertilizer was decreased by 22% compared to the previous year. Of the total surface area of the fish farm the growing ponds make up 0.071% of the surface area, nursury ponds 26.17%, and culturing ponds for consumption fish 72.03%. The total yield of fish in carp ponds was 1228 kg/ha and in trout ponds 214 tons. The highest produced fish was the cars (82.91%), then the herbivorous fish (8.60%), while all other species make up 49% of total production.
In the structure of herbivorous fish the big head is first with 54.8%, then the grass carp with 25.0% and the silver carp with 20.2%. In comparison with the previous years production, the sheat fish decreased by 18%. The production of tinch also decreased. Catch of fish in open waters increased by 7.0% in comparison to the previous year. To summarize the total production and catch of freshwater fish the carp made up 79.66%, herbivorous 8.19%, trout 4.7%, sheat fish, pike-perch and pike 1.73%, while all other fish made up 5.72%.
The distribution and catch of fish was as follows: 58.22% was sold for consumption, 27.10% was used for reproduction (stocking the fish pond), 4.55% for sports fishing, and losses and mortalities made up 2.63%.
The number of fisheries workers increased by only 0.08%, and the production of each worker increased by 10.85% in comparison with the previous year. The average production of fish to each worker was 13.08 tons. The highest production by each worker this Year was reached in Belja (21.34 t).
