Relationship Between Personality Factors and Some Dynamic Characteristics of the Cognitive System

Sažetak

The paper deals with the relationship between personality factors and some
dynamic characteristics of the human cognitive system functioning. Personalities have been
measured according to the Five-Factor Model (FFM) and cognitive functions tested through
CRD series of cognitive tests. The results indicate neuroticism and extraversion as the most
important predictors of cognitive functioning measures, that is, the dynamic characteristics of
the cognitive system. On the whole, the findings point to the impossibility of independent
measuring of cognitive functions without the influence of personality traits.
