Sažetak

After the development of higher primary schools in Croatia was shown, the author sets forth a new learning about the beginning of Higher Primary School in Virovitica on the basis of the insight into the materials. There are also shown the apprenticeship essentials according to which the Higher Elementary School in Virovitica began its work, the teachers who worked there during the first school year, as well as the students who successfully finished the first year. The construction of the new school building for Higher Primary School in Virovitica is also shown.
