Sažetak

This paper deals with the biggest tanker accidents and their influence on the environment. During the previous and the beginning of this century a number of damages, which irreparable destroyed marine life in the region, occurred. Today, the human life is inconceivable without oil derivates but also without marine ecosystem, which is being destroyed by the oil.
