Five Years of the Institute for Scientific and Artistic Work in Bjelovar (2006–2011)

Sažetak
The article presents the results of the activities of the Institute for Scientific Research and Artistic Work in Bjelovar, which did not begin its operation before having assured all spatial, human and financial resources in September 2006, though the Academy Presidency had brought its Decision on Establishing the Institute in Bjelovar on 29 December 2003. The author describes the operation of the Institute in the period 2006–2011, i.e. its five years so far: firstly, the activities and decisions preceding the establishment; and secondly, key activities realized since the establishment, such as: organization of scientific and expert symposia; realization of scientific and expert projects; publishing activity; organization of exhibitions, lectures and presentations of the Institute editions; organization of one Academy Presidency session in Bjelovar, awarding the City of Bjelovar Prize for results in science; equipping the Institute library.
