Sažetak

Professor Filipović was well versed, in the theater and a passionate theater goer. He wrote two pieces on theater that are not widely known: O glumačkoj umjetnosti (On the Art of Acting) and Teorijske i psihologijske osnovice Gavellina umjetničkog stvaralaštva (Theoretical and psychological bases for Gavel1a'sartistic work) from which it is possible to construct the philosophical basis of his interest in problems of the theater. In both articles, referring to Hegel and Lessing, Professor Filipović delves into the problem of the autonomy of the art 'Of acting, normatively postulating in terms of the literary sub-text some of the basic principles of the art of acting.
