Sažetak

The methodology for sanitary landfill site selection, based on the systems engineering methods, is presented. The proposed methodology enables an integral and systemic resolution of problems, fully opened to public scrutiny. The result is the site proposal that constitutes the best possible compromise solution, fully compliant with the criteria and preferences expressed by participants and general public. The methodology is presented using as an example the procedure adopted for selecting the sanitary landfill site in the Mali Ston Bay area.
