Sažetak
Starting Jrom the silver belt Jound at the Church oj the Holy Cross, the author discusses such luxurious examples ojlate mediaeval silverjewellery, noting the various types ojbelts. The author accepts the previous division into "mass producted objects" and "luxurious products", emphasizing the individual nature of certain examples in this second category. In this manner, such objects become a kind oj identity mark and the basisJor building a tradition. Considering luxuriaus silver artiJacts in their social surroundings, on the basis oj unpublished archival sources the author traces the manner ojutilizing silver decorative objects as a means ojpayment. In this context, the phenomenon is noted ojcreating Jamily treasuries in the late mediaeval Croatian region.
