Canopy structure at the Split-Kaštela airport

Sažetak

An overall solution for the terminal building rehabilitation at the Split-Kaštela airport is presented. Then basic information is given about the canopy structure situated in from to the passenger terminal building. The structural solution and the structural design model, as well as the dimensioning process, are presented. During the design of this complex structure a special emphasis was placed on the wind load, which was determined to be the most significant load acting upon the canopy structure. The selection of an adequate design wind load was in fact the most complex part of the design work.
