Multipurpose solution for the regulation and use of the Sava river in Zagreb area

Sažetak
It is emphasized that the implementation of a multipurpose solution for the City of Zagreb and the surrounding area will enable creation of high quality long-term conditions for the supply in water, for the preservation of natural resources, and for the creation of new sports and recreation facilities, while also providing an appropriate solution to the flooding hazard. The approach used in selecting an optimum solution, and various alternative solutions, are also given. The final solution is described and conditions for its implementation are presented.
