ENDOMETRIOSIS IN ADOLESCENTS

Sažetak
During the twenty years past century, endometriosis as a common cause of chronic pelvic pain in adoles-cents has been recognized. In this paper the incidence and symptoms of endometriosis in that population are discussed. Author rewiews current medical and surgical therapy. Since the endometriosis can be a life-long disease, careful follow up of the adolescents after diagnosis and treatment is important with the aim to preserve the quality of life and fertility.
