Average DMF for all examined children was 3.0. The proportion o f DM F teeth expressed in percentage in relation to the total number o f teeth is higher in younger (26,67%) than in older children (21,68%). Average DMFS for children aged from 7 to 10 cames to 3.76. The proportion o f DMFS expressed in percentage in relation to the total number o f surface is slightly higher in younger (6,9%) than in older children (6,6%). The frequency o f caries (KIO) in the total sample was 85.50% and most children (73. 65%) had 1-4 DMF teeth.
