Sažetak

The aim of the study was to define sagittal relations between the maxilla and mandible and the cranial base, and maxillomandibular
relations in orthodontic anomalies and neutroocclusions. The SNA, SNB and ANB variables were analyzed in 436 laterolateral head roentgenograms taken in subjects o f both sexes aged 10- -18 years. Study group consisted of 256 subjects divided, according to clinical diagnosis, into 4 groups: class III, class II/l, class M 2 and open bite. Control group had 100 subjects with neutro- -occlusion. Results revealed the presence of combinations of different types of viscerocrania. Thus, bimaxillary retrognathism, bimaxillary normognathism and bimaxillary prognathism were found to predominate in subjects with neutro-occlusion. In the class III groupo f subjects, combinations of maxillary retrognathism with mandibular
prognathism and bimaxillary prognathism were most frequently observed. In class M l anomaly, bimaxillary retrognathism, bimaxillary normognathism with mandibular retrognathism and maxillary prognathism with mandibular retrognathism were most frequently recorded. In the group with class III2, bimaxillary retrognathism and a combination of maxillary normognathism and mandibular retrognathism were found to predominate. Bimaxillary retrognathism predominated in open bite.
