Sažetak EXAFS spectroscopies extract structural information from a sample by analyzing its X-ray absorption spectrum. They make it possible to determine the chemical environment of an element in terms of the number and type of its neighbors, inter-atomic distances and structural disorders. This determination is confined to a distance of 4 to 8 Å radius from the element. The paper gives a short overview of the basic principles of EXAFS spectroscopy, EXAFS experimental techniques and data analysis methods.
