Sažetak

In the analysis of the Canadian Forest Fire Weather Index System for the station Zadar, it is evident that the values of FWI and ISI just 30th August 2007. reached the highest value (66.6 and 31.8 respectively) in the period from 1 June 12th September 2007. The value of indicators of dead fine fuel moisture FFMC was 88.5 for 30 August 2007. corresponding moisture content of dead fine fuels about 10-12% of its weight and value of ISI indicates the possible creation of fire with the worst performance and is insufficiently tested or unknown effects that may be due to strong winds. Field observations indicate a shallow layer of hot air that quickly passed through the island.
Storey mezoanalysis field pressure is shown over a wider Zadar area creating shallow mezociklone that caused the humid, partly cloudy and windy weather with moderate to strong south (SE wind). Then in Zadar recorded struck the south more than 10 m / s (36 km / h). Analysis of the vertical structure of the atmosphere indicated on favorable weather conditions in the lower troposphere for the development and spread of fire on Kornati. Favourable conditions for the spread of fire were unstable stratification in the lower atmosphere, which was suitable for the upward motion of air, and rapidly increasing wind speed at an approximate altitude of 150 m. However, above the maximum wind speed was formed stabialn layer of air that has prevented further ascending motion of air from the lower layer.
