Sažetak

With great accuracy the author follows the chronology of Marulian literature and the various responses which Marulić's works have met at home and abroad. The author records also his own contribution to the exploration and promotion of the »father of Croatian literature«. Realized as a combined description of Marulian signals and a sort of a diary, the present article furnishes new bibliographical notes and offers a guide to the most recent writings on Marulić. After having expressed his vivid interest in the initiative of establishing an institute at Split dedicated to Marulian studies, he concentrates on his own correspondence with Charles Béné, the university professor from Grenoble who regularly informs the author about the results of own researches concentrated on the problem of the reception of Marulić's works throughout Europe. Of all Marulić's works De institutione was the most successful: the famous poem from this book Carmen de doctrina Domini nostri appeared in two French translations while its poetic translation into English saw several editions. In the end the author mentions the discovery of Henry VIII's annotations in the margin of Marulić's Evangelistary.
Follows a brief review of the latest domestic writings on Marulić (Nikica Kolumbić, Josip Bratulić, Andrea Zlatar, Franjo Švelec, Branimir Glavičić) and a report covering the most significant events of the last April Marulić's Days: the Judith, a production by Zadar puppet masters and the round table dedicated to Marulić (special attention is paid to its participants). Next the author concentrates on the evocative line Marulić-Tin Ujević revealed by and often recurring in the critical writings which appeared on the occasion of the hundredth anniversary of Ujević's death (Zvonimir Mrkonjić, Jozo Laušić, Tonko Maroević). Like in his previous chronicles, the author rejects to become reconciled to the profanation of Meštrović's monument of Marulić at Split, still treated with irreverence; in relation to this the author informs about his numerous unsuccessful appeals. To sum-marize, the present article offers a mosaic presentation of all that the author, - with due competence and numerous personal references, - collected, learnt and wrote on Marulić from September 1990 to August 1991.
