Sažetak
Globalization process, regardless of its definition, resulted in important social and economical changes as well as influence on everyday life. Education, that became a great part of the process itself, is facing major challenges and is seen as a key element of development. The ability of knowledge production and implementation is an imperative for a contemporary competitive society. Since lifelong learning and adult education provide knowledge and skills necessary for adjustment to the ever changing world, they have found themselves to be in the focus of national and international educational policies.
