Etnic and Religious Image of Srijem 1880-1910

Sažetak

The paper analyzes ethnic and religious structure of the population of Srijem County on the basis of four census conducted in the period 1880-1910. The data provide access into the structure of the population of Srijem, which is today sobstantially modified, particularly in the eastern Srijem. The analysis is done by individual towns of districts, depending on the available data for each census, distinguishing some towns of district with specific ethnic and religious structure of the population. Based on the data made, ethnic and religious map of the area of Srijem County is made. The paper also defines the terms of Srijem as a geographical designation and Srijem county, as well as a territorila-administrative unit.
