Sažetak

To evaluate the degree of collaboration of orthodontic patients, a
study was made on 2306 examinees from two different dental clinics who were treated exclusively with removable orthodontic appliances. The examinees were categorized into four age groups. The degree of collaboration was determined according to the number of visits to the clinic. The final results revealed that 17.4% still remained in therapy, 59.4% abandoned treatment and 2.3.3% completed therapy. The analysis concentrated specifically on the high number of examinees who voluntarily ended therapy. This was an indicator of the need to pay special attention to these types of patients and to Introduce a new approach (such as clubs) to keep the patients’ interest in their treatment.
