Metaplastic changes in mucosa oris in patients wearing removable dental prostheses

Sažetak
Sixteen patients were examined and in six cases a multilayer thick
epithelium with parakeratosis or hyperkeratosis was discovered. In the extended basal layer rough uneven lines were found epithelium consisted of unsimiliar hyperchromatic nuclej and cells were without polarity. In one case mitosis was also found as well as the centres of epithelial masses and formation of horny pearls. The pathohistologjc diagnosis for this preparation was Carcinoma planocellulare corneum, first degree according to Broders.
