RELIABILITY OF CROATIAN VERSION OF THE QUESTIONNAIRE FOR ASSESSMENT OF OVERALL LEVEL OF PHYSICAL ACTIVITY OF YOUNGER SCHOOL CHILDREN

Sažetak
One of the most frequently used questionnaires to assess
the overall level of physical activity in children is PAQ-C
questionnaire designed for children under school age. The
questionnaire has been translated into various languages?,
and previous studies have shown satisfactory reliability
survey. The aim of this study was to determine the
reliability of the Croatian version of the questionnaire to
assess the level of physical activity (PAQ-C) for children
under school age. The study involved 56 ten year olds
students of both sexes from Zadar, which collected
consent of parents, and who regularly attend classes in the
past month. Questionnaire to assess the level of physical
activity PAQ-C (6) consists of nine questions specifically
evaluated on a scale of 5 degrees. The overall result of
physical activity is predicted based on the arithmetic mean
of the answers given separately evaluated on a scale from
1 to 5 Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics,
calculate basic statistical parameters and the reliability of
the questionnaire was determined by test-retest method.
Calculated Cronbach's coefficient pouzanosti, reliability
coefficient obtained on standardized particles and the
average correlation between the particles. He also
calculated the correlation matrix between particles
questionnaire first and 2 measurements to determine how
connections are individual particles questionnaire.
Reliability of quantitative variables was expressed by
Cronbach alpha coefficient to assess reliability, which was
0.8051, standardized alpha is 0.7779, and the average
correlation between the particles is r = 0.1721. The results
indicate the high reliability of this method of testing the
level of physical activity. The Croatian version of PAQ-C
questionnaire showed satisfactory reliability in assessing
the level of physical activity of children under school age.
The results confirm the continued use of the questionnaire
in future studies.
