Fabrication and installation of main girders on road structures

Sažetak
The method used for the fabrication and installation of main girders on road and motorway structures is described. The fabrication of girders in the plant located behind a bridge or viaduct abutment is presented. Reinforcement cages with cables and anchors attached to the front formwork are assembled on a separate platform. An appropriate crane is used to insert cages into the mold. In addition to fabrication technology, the authors also describe installation onto the bridge or viaduct which is performed either by the truck crane or by means of an ASPREM launching truss.
