Experiences in the treatment of lip cancer

Sažetak

The authors report about their experiences in surgical treatment of lip cancer. 154 patients have been operated on for lip cancer. There was only one relapse and four patients died. All four of them did not come for regular control. From reconstructional methods used in solving the lip defects after a radical operation, the authors prefer local arterial flaps because thus were achieved the best aesthetic and functional results. The authors opinion is that no operation of any questionable change on lips can be performed without an intraoperational pathohystological analysis.
