Sažetak
The paper gives an insight into the condition of the collection of chest boxes from the Split Ethnographic Museum. It is only now that it has been catalogued in its entirety. The permanent lack of depositories and of systematic conservation brought about considerable damages on wooden objects in the Museum’s holdings. This catalogue is an open documentation item meant as an elementary preservation of the collection. It is also an appeal for the urgent conservation of the chest boxes, and for their proper location.
