St. Roch – Patron Saint of Drniš

Sažetak

St. Roch has been worshipped in Drniš as early as the 18th century. We may say that the founding of the church – chapel of the same name (1731) marked the beginnings of this saint's cult. Written sources have easily proved this. Primarily because he was a historical person and due to the events that followed in Drniš (plaque that was raging in the town from 1731 to 1732) St. Roch was established as the patron saint of this town.
