The correlation between the flora of the oral cavity and the gingival pocket

Sažetak
1. Generally small differences are seen in the incidence of types of microbic flora in the orah cavity and the parodontal pockets in pases of parodontopathiae. 2. The correlation between the microbic flora of the parodontal pockets and the flora of the oral cavity is generally positive. 3. In cases of an inflamed, respectively a non-inflamed gingiva, the incidence of various types of bacteria in the oral cavity and the parondental pockets differs only in some types of bacteria. 4. There is no correlation between the intensity of the pathologic changes in the gingiva and the presence of certain types of bacteria in the orah cavity and in the parondontal pockets. 5. As regards the incidence of individual types — there is medium correlation between the presence of bacteria in the inflamed and the non-inflamed parodontal pockets.
