Sažetak

Investigates in dental physiology by means of J131 are reported in the introduction. Most authors have applied J131 parenterally and watched its movement in the tooth. In the presented expenimental study J131 was placed into the tooth and its elimination from the tooth was studied. The experiment was performed on 6 dogs. The first lower right molar was examined. The teeth in three dogs had vital pulps, the teeth of the other three animals were necrotic teeth, the pulpar chamber was prepared and left open for 7 days. J131 was pulp the cavity of the translucency of the pulp through the dentin was prepared, in necrotic teeth the (pulpar chammber was prepared and left open for 7 days. J131 was placed in such a cavity onto the step copper plate and over it a filling of phosphatecement was applied. Radioactivity was measured by means of the scintillation tube Tracerlap. It was mesured in both the tooth and the thyroid. Measurements in the tooth were made at 0,1, 24, 48,, 72 and 96 hours from the introduction of 'radioactivity; in the thyroid gland they were performed at 1, 24, 48, 72 and 96 hours. Results are not expressed in number of impulses per minute but rather in percent. The initial number of impulses in the tooth of each animal was taken for 100 percent. Transdental elimination is a dynamic process. About four fifths of the activity is eliminated from the tooth within the first 24 hours. There was no essential quantitative and temporal difference in the elimination of J131 between the vital and the necrotic pulp.
