Modular Single-family Houses

Sažetak

Single-family houses, just as any other type of structure, may be designed by means of modules; either by a modular grid in case of a smaller size grid or by modular fields when the size usually corresponds to the construction requirements. This paper gives an analysis of predominantly concrete and steel single- family houses and villas from different periods and regions. It also presents some well-known examples of modern single-family houses in Croatia and abroad. The conclusion focuses on favourable circumstances for the design and construction of modular single-family houses which are therefore highly recommended.
