Sažetak

The activities of the Order of the Brothers of Mercy (founded
by St John of God) were briefly presented. The Order has been
established in Croatia and runs the hospital St Raphael in
Strmac, in which they take care of psychiatric patients and
implement palliative care for the dying. The author presented
the fundamental principles that characterize the work of the
Order of the Brothers of Mercy, as well as the basic values that
the Order promotes in its apostolic work.
