Incentives for Improving Youth Ministry

Sažetak

We live in a time of human uncertainty and maladjustment. The article discusses the past, present and future of youth ministry. Referring to the last forty years, difficulties are recalled with particular reference to the creation of youth ministry projects that include spirituality. To define and create youth ministries, it is necessary to determine suitable spirituality and the relationships among youth ministry, theology and the educational sciences. This is inevitably linked to consideration of the place and role of evangelization. For this reason, future youth ministry should be consistent with the place and role of evangelization, as well as faithful to the gospel. The theological and evangelical orientation of youth ministry should be promoted, together with an awareness of the specific callings, shared responsibility and clear identities of all who are involved in this process.
