Sažetak
Aware of the dramatic situation in the area of education in contemporary society, the author discusses the difficulties and opportunities for education in the faith today. Besides voices that warn of nihilistic tendencies among today’s youth, he refers to an appeal from Italian bishops for renewed involvement in the area of education, particularly in the faith. The difficulties observed in contemporary youth ministry indicate the need for further consideration of education and evangelization. In the pluralism of the contemporary models of education, it is necessary to work patiently to create the conditions for opening young people’s minds to questions about life, personal growth, life experiences and, ultimately, for an encounter with Christ. The image of the Good Samaritan helps us to understand the importance of the spiritual perspective in contemporary education in the faith and youth ministry.
