Basic information about the Adriatic-Ionian motorway route passing through seven countries is presented. The significance of this motorway for each country it traverses is described. Parts of this motorway are already completed in Croatia, while in Bosnia and Herzegovina a portion of this motorway will be built as the 5C Corridor which is to link Ploče port with Budapest via Sarajevo and Osijek. Ingra's attempts to secure financing for the Adriatic-Ionian motorway are described. The concession is suggested as the logical method for the construction of this motorway.
