Sažetak

This paper gives an overview of the various types of assets in terms of civil and administrative law, and especially from the aspect of ownership. This paper deals with the management of the property owned by the cities and municipalities and to analyze the responsibilities that local governments have regarding courses of action aimed at the effective management of these goods. Besides the analysis of positive law, to give some critical remarks on the current practice of managing resources owned by cities and municipalities. Eventually offered a management perspective these goods in future where there is need for the application of new fields and methods: such as the implementation of the economic analisys of law, the introduction of precise and methodical, systematic records, the efficient valuation of assets, and systematic management planning for a diversified portfolio of assets to the optimum economic benefit and satisfy social and cultural needs of all citizens, both today in the future.
