[Defense mechanism of the pulpo-dentinal complex: sclerosis, secondary, reparatory dentin]

Sažetak
In view of new investigations and recent achievements regarding the defense mechanism of the pulpo-dentinal complex the author classified the reactions in three fundamental stages; sclerotic, secondary and reparatory dentin. Synonyms of the three different reactions, used in the literature are given in tabular form to enable an easier judgement in the rather confused matter. Often the same reaction of the pulpo-dentinal complex is referted in different terms or different reactions atributed to the same expression. The author’s classification is based upon a) histo-morphological structure of various changes in the region of the pulpo-dentinal complex, b) on the duration and quality of certain irritation and c) accordingly to the condition and the changes in the odontoblastic layer.
