Current economic standing of Croatian construction industry

Sažetak

The current standing of Croatian economy is briefly described. Then the current situation in construction industry is analyzed based on available information. Current trends in housing construction and construction companies are presented, and the information on operations in other countries is given. The bid evaluation practices are analyzed and commented on, and a more favorable treatment of domestic bidders is proposed. Construction industry forecasts for 2002 are given, and measures to be undertaken in order to improve the current unfavorable situation are proposed.
