On Interpreting a Type of Ambiguity in an Old English Text

Sažetak
Ambiguity in some historical texts can be interpreted in the framework of the entire text. A case of ambiguocus reference in the "Parker Chronicle" is examined and interpreted on the basis of patterns of text segments ,that are found to be characteristic of the "Chronicle". Suggestions are given for presuppositions concerning historiographic style.
